Dr. Sharon Phillips was born and raised in Fort Worth TX. She attended Texas A&M for both undergraduate and veterinary school. Dr. Phillips received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1993 and worked in Fort Worth for 3 years before moving to Tyler in 1997. She started her career here at Tyler Veterinary Center that same year.
Dr. Phillips met her husband Lee, a Tyler native, at A&M, and they have 2 children. Their son, Keith, is an electrical engineer in Houston, and their daughter, Sarah, received her PhD in Chemistry at Penn State.
When not at work, Dr. Phillips is busy taking care of their many dogs, cats, horses, and chickens. She also volunteers with Therapet and the SPCA of East Texas. More than 100 foster animals have cycled through the Phillips household over the last 15 years. Sharon’s hobbies include gardening, cooking, and reading.
